ROHM IPM
IPMs (Intelligent Power Modules) deliver motor control integrated into a single package. ROHM utilizes an IGBT-optimized design customized for a variety of applications, including large home appliances, renewable energy, fans, and industrial motor drives, making the design process less complicated and improving system efficiency.
IPMs contain all components required for control, including the power device control IC and peripheral circuitry. Both IGBT and MOS types are available.
IPM Loss Simulator
The Loss Simulator is a power loss estimation software dedicated to ROHM IGBT IPMs. The Loss Simulator provides an accurate estimation of the power loss, the junction and case temperatures power based on the customer application mission profiles, shortening the solution design and saving time and resources.

ROHM offers two variants of IGBT-IPMs, one for low-switching and the other for high-switching frequencies. Adopting an application-specific IGBT results in high-efficiency drive operation, making them especially suited for low-speed switching in compressor motors. Both models integrate an IGBT, FWD, bootstrap diode, and gate driver in one package.
›MOS-IPM
ROHM MOS-IPMs are high-efficiency 600V/15A intelligent power modules that integrate ROHM's own PrestoMOS™ MOSFET series, bootstrap diodes and gate drivers into a single package. The proprietary built-in MOSFET improves efficiency during steady state operation. These features, along with multiple protection circuits, make them useful in a variety of applications by significantly reducing power loss during normal AC operation vs IGBT-IPMs.
